Restoration works to repair the three chimneys at Castell Coch is completed. High-tech surveys highlighted weaknesses in the huge chimney stacks on the keep and gatehouse causing damage to the beautiful ornate wallpaper in the rooms within.

Each chimney was dismantled and re-built using, where possible the original stone. Replacement stones using dolomitic limestone was quarried from adjacent quarry in Wales and worked by our masons in Chichester.
